About Kristen
As the Director of Medical Aesthetics here at California LASIK & Eye, Kristen Barnett is a true expert in aesthetic procedures and holistic skincare. Kristen was drawn to the world of medical aesthetics as it allows her to channel her creativity and attention to detail to change patients’ lives and bolster their confidence. She believes in harnessing the power of the latest aesthetic advancements to help her patients achieve their ideal results safely and effectively while remaining a partner to them throughout their care.
Kristen is a highly skilled injector of premier antiaging products, including XEOMIN® and Revanesse®, as well as specialized skincare treatments such as MiXto Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy. When Kristen isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys spending time with family, working out (Orangetheory addict!), exploring the outdoors, cooking, and getting together with friends.
Background & Education
Kristen is a nurse practitioner who completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. Afterwards, she developed her expertise in a range of medical specialties, including gynecologic oncology, anesthesia, and dermatology. The latter inspired her to transition into medical aesthetics as a cosmetic injector at a popular med spa, where she refined her skills even further by learning the latest techniques from industry leaders.
In addition to being the go-to aesthetics professional at California LASIK & Eye, Kristen was the Product Development and Lab Lead at Curology, a teledermatology company that specializes in treating acne and anti-aging concerns.
